2014-07-03 00:57:51 <gwillen> SatoshiNakamotoS: change your nick, please.
2014-07-03 00:57:56 <SatoshiNakamotoS> I would like to know one thing.. well i've fork a coin code and change some parameters like the block time.. for 30m.. anyway its mining 1 block per sec o.O how can be this possible ?
2014-07-03 00:58:25 <done> ok
2014-07-03 00:58:26 <gwillen> This channel is for discussing the development of the bitcoin client; try ##altcoin-dev?
2014-07-03 00:58:41 <gwillen> You have probably made an error, but I don't know what it is.
2014-07-03 00:58:52 <done> gwillen i know, but nobody answered me whole day.. its just a doubt
2014-07-03 00:58:55 <gwillen> It's easy to screw up the constants. The people over there would no better.
2014-07-03 00:58:57 <gwillen> know*
2014-07-03 00:59:00 <done> and to know if its normal
2014-07-03 00:59:01 <done> or its a mistake..
2014-07-03 00:59:49 <done> so launch an network 1h ago and there are already 3000 blocks its buggedright ?
2014-07-03 01:00:09 <gwillen> Probably? Like I said, this channel is for bitcoin client development. Nobody here does altcoins.
2014-07-03 01:00:30 <done> me neither
2014-07-03 01:00:40 <done> Im just trying to know more about it.
2014-07-03 01:01:35 <gwillen> Well, it should recompute the difficulty every 2016 blocks if you didn't change that.
2014-07-03 01:01:44 <gwillen> So it's normal for the first 2016 blocks to be crazy fast, I believe.
2014-07-03 01:01:54 <gwillen> After that it should be whatever you've set it to, or you've done something wrong.
2014-07-03 01:02:09 <done> ah. understood
2014-07-03 01:02:24 <done> anywy doesnt matter.. my main objective was done.. :D
2014-07-03 01:02:35 <gwillen> To compile the code and see what happens? :-)
2014-07-03 01:02:49 <done> just wanted to know if this was normal or I was made shit..
2014-07-03 01:03:08 <done> gwillen maybe looks a bit dumb but yes..
2014-07-03 01:03:14 <done> I was 0 at ubuntu
2014-07-03 01:03:18 <done> in 2 weeks i learned a lot
2014-07-03 01:03:31 <done> just compiling a coin..
2014-07-03 01:03:40 <gwillen> nah, getting it to compile is a worthy goal :-)
2014-07-03 01:03:51 <done> I sware to all of you that i've learned a lot.
2014-07-03 01:03:55 <gwillen> you have to start somewhere :-)
2014-07-03 01:04:01 <done> It was to me..
2014-07-03 01:04:16 <done> with a lot of barriers and bugs on the middle.
2014-07-03 01:04:19 <gwillen> ACTION nods
2014-07-03 01:04:37 <done> But everything was one.

2014-07-03 01:18:42 <done> I've checked the bitcoin blockchain and the first 1000 blocks took days..
2014-07-03 01:19:04 <done> why does mine already goes pn 4000 o.O
2014-07-03 01:19:14 <gwillen> Hmm, you've really probably made an error then
2014-07-03 01:19:18 <gwillen> especially if you're mining with a CPU only
2014-07-03 01:19:37 <done> o.o
2014-07-03 01:19:47 <done> sounds strange.
2014-07-03 01:20:16 <done> i had follow all steps.
2014-07-03 01:21:03 <done> static const int64 nTargetTimespan = 7 * 24 * 60 * 60; //1 semana static const int64 nTargetSpacing = 10 * 60; // 10 minutos static const int64 nInterval = nTargetTimespan / nTargetSpacing; //

2014-07-03 03:20:24 <coinheavy> `Error: Invalid -rpcallowip subnet specification: 10.*.*.*` — are only specific IP addresess enumerable? the wiki says that * can be used as a wildcard but I have tried many permutations (e.g. 10.0.0.*), all of which throw this error.
2014-07-03 03:33:49 <warren> We implemented a generic payment processor with a bitcoind backend. https://github.com/slickage/baron It is meant to be used by other web applications with an API key to create arbitrary invoices. The user is then sent to the invoice to pay. The views update with confirmations and shows reorgs or double-spends. It then can send a notification back to the application to inform it of a successful payment, or a double-spend, etc.
2014-07-03 03:34:22 <warren> http://demo.baronpay.org/ You can see a live demo here of invoice JSON submitted to create an invoice.
