2017-01-09 09:23:15 <trotski2000> is it possible to specify a change address using "fundrawtransaction"?
2017-01-09 09:23:26 <arubi> yep
2017-01-09 09:31:19 <trotski2000> arubi: how? I'm generating a transaction online and signing it offline, when I do fundrawtransaction online it takes a change address from the keypool of the online instance - I would like to use an address from the offline instance, thus to manually specify it
2017-01-09 09:33:06 <arubi> trotski2000, do you have a local running bitcoind (even regtest), running 'bitcoin-cli help fundrawtransaction' will show you the json syntax it accepts for change address
2017-01-09 09:33:21 <trotski2000> arubi: ok, thanks
2017-01-09 09:33:29 <arubi> np
2017-01-09 09:46:39 <jonasschnelli> arubi: fundrawtransaction <hex> {"changeAddress": "<addr>"}
2017-01-09 09:46:51 <jonasschnelli> You need >=0.13.0 for this feature
2017-01-09 09:47:01 <arubi> I guess so, not sure
2017-01-09 09:47:01 <jonasschnelli> sorry, meant trotski2000
2017-01-09 09:47:14 <arubi> oh hehe
2017-01-09 09:53:20 <trotski2000> jonasschnelli: sweet! just did it. working like a charm
2017-01-09 10:17:01 <trotski2000> btw, for fundrawtransaction to work for offline signing I have to import the watch-only addys with "importpubkey" instead of "importaddress", right?
2017-01-09 10:17:25 <jonasschnelli> fundraw does not sign.
2017-01-09 10:18:20 <jonasschnelli> trotski2000: You can import watchonly-addrs into your hot wallet, use fundrawtx in your hotwallet, then use signrawtransaction in your cold-wallet
2017-01-09 10:18:46 <jonasschnelli> Make sure you are using a custom change address!
2017-01-09 10:21:43 <trotski2000> jonasschnelli: you are right. I meant that in order to build the transaction online using an watch-only address I need to import it using "importpubkey" because its impossible to build a transaction that spends from an address without knowing its public key, and the pubkey cannot derived from the address
