2 2018-03-25 22:08:18 <x16rc> Are there any problems with copying a wallet.dat file and using it on multiple computers with bitcoind?
3 2018-03-25 23:32:26 <AndyS2> if it's an old wallet.dat, you will lose money after using it a while
4 2018-03-25 23:34:37 <AndyS2> I'm unsure about the details when you are using a more recently created wallet.dat. I suppose (no guarantees!) that you will only lose the information you entered when you send money (recipients name, stuff like that). but the private keys should be (re-)generated the same on all computers. though you gotta tell bitcoind that, I guess, or else you won't see all your funds on pcs you haven't ...

6 2018-03-25 23:36:09 <AndyS2> (as bitcoind only pregenerates a certain amount of addresses and only more once they have all been used. but that older pc with the copied wallet.dat won't necessarily notice the usage so it might not trigger the generation of the next 100 private keys)
